Youtube is powerful media because millions of user using it. The concept of using YouTube to make sales is actually quite old, this concept is known as the sales funnel. To understand the sales funnel better, please refer to sales funnel simply explained.
Make sales is a mystery, many people don’t like the world of marketing. That fear has disappeared thanks to technological developments. With technology, the marketing process can run automatically, without the need for face-to-face meetings. This review will briefly examine how the process works using YouTube.
How Can I Use Youtube to Make Sales
In this process, YouTube is a medium in the entire sales funnel. All stages are done manually in this order:
First, create a landing page
This landing page is useful for directing viewers to make purchases. The basic elements of a landing page that best fulfill 3 elements:
Headline – The title of the landing page already reflects what you will get
Product description – provide important details about the products offered
Reason to buy – give reasons why viewers should buy it, raise the point of view on the “pains/problems” that make viewers need to buy.
Second, Click to Action
This part is very important. Make it easy for viewers to make purchases. Make sure the buying process can be done easily and safely online.
Third, Social Proof
This section can convince viewers who are still hesitant to buy. In my case study, I run affiliate marketing from a reputable e-commerce, meaning I don’t have my own product. In order to obtain social proof in my case study, I chose a product that has an almost perfect rating.

Implement Youtube to Make Sales
Verify youtube account so you can provide a link in the description section. This link points to the landing page that you have set up.
Create informative or solutive YouTube content. In my case study, I created content on how to replace the Playstation 4 joystick battery. The video explains how to open the joystick properly, remove the battery and insert a new battery, then assemble the joystick again.

The pain/problem: most gamers want to save money handling this issue. DIY changing battery means save money, save time – more time to play games.
On the YouTube video description, create a clickable link that direct viewers to the landing page. Remember, you have to pass verification process to enable active link on your YouTube video description.
The landing page that has been prepared for this content leads to content that sells PS4 batteries and the tools needed to replace the battery.
Above image is the landing page. It has clear click-to-action (CTA) that direct prospect viewers into buyer. That CTA is a product link that has strong positive review, thus any viewers in need of that item mostlikely will buy it. The ecommerce sites provide the last recipe I need to close the sale – social proof.
Above is the sales report from the program I have joined in. I am putting publisher ID (baterai PS4 = PS4 battery) to analyze how good my sales funnel is. Based on the sales report, it is not too bad, because it is come from 1 item only, and I have done it to hundreds of different items.
