One of the Cheap Hotels Downtown Houston
Actually, what hotel do I choose? The hotel’s name is the Sam Houston, Curio Collection by Hilton, the address is at 1117 Prairie St, Houston, TX 7702. I spent $201 for a night (tax includes), but it includes breakfast for 4 people and a high floor room with a pretty decent view. Check the hotel here
Breakfast (at the hotel restaurant) for a family of four will cost you about $82. However, if you have purchased the room price including breakfast, the bill will not go to your room.
I don’t think the price is as cheap as I imagined for a deal, but because of the location close to Discovery Green, Toyota Center and other interesting places in Downtown Houston, it seems quite reasonable to pay that price for a choice of weekend days. I get all the modern city experiences while staying there.

No less important is the culinary. Just 5 minutes’ walk across, you will find a food hall with a choice of wallet-friendly food. I accidentally found the food hall on google maps.
There are many choices of food at friendly prices there. If you want to track it on google maps, try looking for Bird Haus or The Pho Fix. If you are from out of Houston or it’s your first time to Downtown Houston, it might be a little difficult because what you can see from the street is a cake shop (there is a sign for food vendors on the outside wall). The food hall is inside the cake shop, there are stairs leading down to the location of the food hall. If you have a chance, just check it yourself, the prices are friendly, the taste is amazing.

That’s my experience finding cheap hotels Downtown Houston. If you want to ensure a modern city environment experience with the convenience of an extensive dinner menu and reasonable prices, this hotel choice does not disappoint. The only disadvantage about the hotel is that not providing free parking. If you stay here and bring a car, the only option you can get is valet parking. Unless you want to use public parking instead of the valet from the hotel, parking cost will be cheaper.
