How To Find Writing Inspiration

Find Writing Inspiration

Writing an interesting and unique content is an inseparable part of your business blog. Good articles are the key to a successful website! However, sometimes, no matter if you are a beginner or a really experienced writer, there are some really bad days. Days, when every single idea that you come up with, ends with a dead end. Especially when it comes to writing for our own blog, we often find it difficult to get our writing inspiration. No matter if it is due to a bad mood or a too busy working schedule, the lack of writing inspiration can really spoil your article. So here are some great ideas on where to look for some extra writing ideas.

Blogs

This is our first suggestion. Is there a better way to inspire yourself for writing an article, that checking out the latest blog postings? You can visit some blog, similar to yours and see if you can find something interesting in there. You can take a look at their recent postings and use some of their most creative topic ideas. However, don’t go too far – plagiarism is never a good idea! Another brilliant solution is to take a look at the comments bellow your own postings. They can give you some extra information about what people want to read more or less about.

Online magazines/newspapers

find writing inspiration

This is another great source of useful information. You can easily catch up with the latest news and topics. Very often these magazines provide new and interesting articles for their readers, which you can use to develop and even improve.

Random dialogues

Very often, while going to work by bus, for instance, we overhear people’s dialogues. Drinking our morning coffee; buying our daily newspaper or on our way to home – all this situations can suddenly turn into a source of true writing inspiration. All we need to do is pay a little more attention on what is happening around us. People tend to comment on politics, technologies, movies and economics. And who knows – some of these topics can really make you take your laptop out of the notebook case and start arguing with them. Hypothetically speaking, of course… 🙂

Forums

This is our last suggestion. Forums are in fact a mixture of the previous three options. Why? Because forums are the place where people are given the opportunity to either express their opinion on a certain topic, argue and communicate with one another. In forums you will be able to find people’s most common problems; tips on how to deal with these problems and a great number of creative ideas for… everything!

Inspiring quotes!

As a dessert, we decided to give you a few really inspiring quotes.

  • “You get ideas from daydreaming. You get ideas from being bored. You get ideas all the time. The only difference between writers and other people is we notice when we’re doing it.” Neil Gaiman
  • “ Write freely and as rapidly as possible and throw the whole thing on paper. Never correct or rewrite until the whole thing is down. Rewrite in process is usually found to be an excuse for not going on. It also interferes with flow and rhythm which can only come from a kind of unconscious association with the material….”John Steinbeck
  • “ Read, read, read. Read everything – trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You’ll absorb it. Then write. If it’s good, you’ll find out. If it’s not, throw it out of the window.” William Faulkner

Hi Okto,
Nice article again. I can say without writing inspiration, you can’t make any difference. This is the first key. Often I suffer from lack of inspiration. I believe reading others blog and knowing others failure to success story might help us.

Hi Rose,

It can be very frustrating when you have the urge to write but your fingers never move!

I completely agree with you on reading other blogs for inspiration. I do a lot of reading anyway and come across a lot of really good content that spark ideas all the time.

For me I have to write them or add them to my Evernote which makes it easier to look back on and remember where I was going if I get stuck.

If all else fails I just take a break. My mind never shuts off it seems so sooner than later I can continue or begin writing a completely different post.

I have 3 different personal blogs but they have their own character automatically although I never been set them up, it’s all depend on the reader.

reading is more important than writing.

Hi Rose,

I almost always know what I want to write, because writing is what I do, but still at times (even though not often) like anyone else I may be looking for inspiration in places such as the one you mentioned here.

Blog comments are at times little blog posts to be developed. People ask questions there that only need to be answered.

Thanks for the tips 🙂

Thanks to all of you for the great comments! I advise you to read a lot and to listen what the are people are telling you because you never know what they are going to tell you 😉

Hi Rose ,

Thanks for sharing some ideas on how to get writing inspiration. I myself look around different blogs to see what people are writing and what is not disscused over net , or what are the updates so that i can write in my blog.

Thank You

Hi Rose,
Running out of ideas about what to write next on a blog which is normal and happens with almost every blogger at some stage.
When I am in a similar situation, I read a lot and try to learn newer things about blogging, SEO etc. This has always helped me and will do the same in the future too.
Anyway, I would thank you for this great information piece. Next time when I would be blank on the topics, I will read this for sure.

Human capabilities are limited, so does the idea of writing upon ability. When we’re down, the idea was very difficult to obtain, at a time like this makes us frustrated. To write something we need inspiration, inspiration can come from reading, listening, from experience, even from nature.

The easiest inspiration we get is from reading, to get reading material is also not difficult. But we also have to select the reference us.

Hi Rose… !!!

For a writer / artist what the important thing he/she requires is the inspiration. If the person is having lack of inspirational source whatever you do, you will never get satisfy with the work.
