It is true that bloggers do not consider about the alexa rank nowadays, and mostly it is because of pagerank death.
But then also Pagerank prediction factor is very interesting. If there is some tool which predicts what will be my page rank if some update is done soon, then it is really exciting. The authority checker is also seems useful.
But in the long run, I guess domain authority will play the major role, until new factor is unveiled by Google.

@Samantha: I think many marketers don’t care about their alexa rank. More and more online marketers put more emphasize on Domain/Page Authority right now, especially after the death of Pagerank.
