Are you looking to cancel your DirecTV subscription but feeling overwhelmed by the process? Step 1: Gather Your Account Information
Before you begin the cancellation process, make sure you have all the necessary information handy. This includes your DirecTV account number, your billing address, and any other relevant account details. Having this information readily available will streamline the cancellation process.
Step 2: Login into Your Subscription Account
In this guide, I am login into it from ATT login account.
Click on “Manage My TV Package” to see what TV subscription you have at the moment.
You will have notification that you are going to enter the DirectTV customer webpage from att customer webpage.
Step 3: Select Cancel My Service
If you’re set on canceling, click on the link provided “Cancel My Service”
Step 4: Follow the Prompt
Apparently the feature to cancel it online is not available. You are asked to reach them by phone at 1-800-531-5000. Be prepared to wait on hold for a bit, as hold times can vary depending on call volume. I made the call and the process is straight forward.
Step 5: Return Equipment (If Needed)
Depends on how long have you been subscribed. In my case, I’ve been subscribed for almost 4 years. Thus, it is not necessary for me to return the device at all.
Step 6: Keep the Service Until the Billing Cycle Ended
That’s it. You can still enjoy the service until your next billing cycle ended.
